Gareth Goodall
Gareth started his career as a consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). He then spent the next 15 years in European energy markets as a trader, analyst and originator in physical and financial Power, Gas, Coal and Carbon markets. He has worked as an analyst and trader for Italian oil major ENI and then went on to work as Director of Gas and Power trading at BNP Paribas Fortis.
He left Constellation Energy in 2008, where he was Director of European Energy, to establish New Stream Renewables.
Since 2009 Gareth has been responsible for New Stream’s strategy, structured route to market power sales and merchant trading of peaking assets.
In 2014 he established New Stream Generation to provide commercial and operational asset management to “peaking” and distributed generators going on to set up New Stream’s 24/7 operational control room at their Hampshire base in 2016.
Charlie Ward
Charlie has been involved in energy markets since 1997. From 2004 he worked as a fund manager for a London-based multi-family office emphasising physical and financial energy commodity markets.
Charlie joined as a director and shareholder at New Stream Renewables at the end of 2011.
He has now been responsible for over 1.5GW of renewable PPAs, developing the “best value” process for the route to market power to ensure maximum value for green generators across all technologies and tenors.
More recently, Charlie has been involved in assessing subsidy-free renewable projects and looking at ways to enhance income through shared connections and battery storage.
